Meditate On
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery
serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten,
when he looks at it, shall live.”
Numbers 21:8
Look
To Jesus And Live!
People have asked me what the value of
seeing Jesus is. They say, “Pastor Prince, you talk about seeing Jesus all the
time. What value is there in doing that? I’d rather you give me principles for
success. It’s more practical.”
Well, the wonder of it is that when the
Israelites in the Old Testament were bitten by snakes and were dying, those who
looked to the Lord were healed (Numbers 21:8–9). Actually, they looked to a
bronze serpent on a pole, which typified our Lord Jesus on the cross, as He
became a curse for us on that cross (Galatians 3:13). Isn’t it amazing that
these people were healed just by looking? They simply looked to the Lord and they
lived!
So I pray in Jesus’ name that you’ll have a
hunger to see Jesus. Every time you hear a sermon or read the Bible, you want
to see Jesus and behold His glory. Ask the Holy Spirit to open up the
Scriptures to you so that you can encounter Jesus. And as you fix your eyes on
Him, you will be transformed from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18). You will
find peace for your soul, strength for your body and clarity for your mind.
Symptoms of death will give way to manifestations of His abundance and resurrection
life!
