And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it.
Numbers 11:9

            Grace For Your Darkest Moments

Look at today’s verse and notice that the manna fell on the camp of the Israelites during the night.
My friend, night speaks of the darkest moments in one’s life. This means that in your darkest moments, God is still supplying you His “manna” or grace. He has not abandoned you and left you to your own devices. No, He is still there with you, caring for you, watching over you and working things out for your good.

So beloved, rest in God’s love for you and let Him sort things out for you. Stop trying to solve the problem in your own strength and wisdom—let God be God to you. He is with you, for your success and will provide for your needs. His grace for you falls afresh every day. His mercies that are new every morning will also see you through the darkest nights!

Today, just see His grace upon you and all around you. Be conscious of it, thank Him for it, and see His grace do wonders for you!

It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep His promise.

Hebrews 11:11, NLT

            God Keeps His Promises

How do you continue to believe God for the breakthrough that you need when you don’t feel that you have the faith to go on?

My friend, the answer lies in today’s scripture. Sarah was “barren and was too old” to have a child, but “by faith” she received strength to conceive and gave birth to Isaac. Her faith was involved. How did Sarah exercise her faith to receive her miracle? She simply “believed that God would keep His promise.” In other words, she banked on the faithfulness of God. Her eyes were not on her faith or lack of it, nor were they on how tough her natural circumstances were.

When you feel that your faith has run out, just rest in how God is always faithful! Count on His faithfulness, not your faithfulness. Lean hard on the fact that He remains faithful even when you’re wavering in faith (2 Timothy 2:13).

Beloved, once God gives you a promise from His Word, it’s not for you to struggle and conjure up faith to make His promise come to pass. You cannot make the miracle happen—only God can. You are to rest in Him who has promised, rest in His faithfulness, and you will experience your miracle!

The Lord will answer and say to His people, “Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, and you will be satisfied by them…

Joel 2:19

Health Through The Oil, Bread And Wine

A brother from New Zealand shared an amazing healing testimony with me. After undergoing two surgeries, he was diagnosed with grade eight prostate cancer and given a grim report by his specialist.

A couple, who were elders from his church, anointed him with oil and prayed over him. He felt God’s power go through him. Following this, his wife would anoint him every night with a bottle of oil, and they would pray and take the Holy Communion together. His symptoms started to disappear and he began to feel so much better. At his next checkup, his specialist was amazed. She proclaimed his blood test report ‘‘fantastic” because it showed all indicators in the normal range!

Beloved, the oil, bread and wine represent Jesus’ finished work at the cross. Jesus provided His own body to be punished for the healing of your diseases and afflictions. Rest in the reality that by His stripes you are healed!

But the Lord was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief…

Isaiah 53:10, NASB

            Crushed For Our Total Well-Being

How is holy anointing oil produced? By crushing olives in an oil press to extract the oil. This is a beautiful picture of the crushing of our Lord Jesus, which began in the Garden of Gethsemane. “Gethsemane” literally means “oil press.”

The Bible tells us that Jesus was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
Jesus came to be crushed for us. He came to be bruised, scourged and pierced. Why? So that all that He is—health, life, wholeness, abundance, fruitfulness, grace, goodness—can flow out like golden oil into our lives!

My friend, whenever you use the holy anointing oil for healing, provision or protection, remember that Jesus has already been crushed for your total well-being. See the work as completely finished and enter into rest. That’s how you receive your victory!

And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may have an abundance for every good work.

2 Corinthians 9:8

            Blessed To Be A Blessing

Do you remember the words that God pronounced over Abraham? He said, “I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing” (Genesis 12:2).

My friend, as you trust God to walk more and more in the fullness of Abraham’s blessing, have a revelation that He blesses you because He loves you, and gives to you the privilege of being a practical extension of His love to your community, your country and beyond.

God’s financial provision is for a divine purpose. Don’t use people and love money. Instead, use money to love people! When it comes to our relationship with people, it is always more blessed to give than to receive. Have an abundant eye and heart, look around for people in need and bless them. Let your light so shine before all men for the glory of the name of Jesus Christ!

Today, see His abundant grace abounding toward you and your family so that you will have an abundance for every good work!

Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives…who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life.

Hebrews 7:8, 16

Your Tithe Testifies That Jesus Lives!

When you have a revelation that the Lord is the source of every blessing you have, and tithe out of a heart of gratitude for His provision in your life, Hebrews 7:8 tell us that you are not tithing to mortal men, but to Christ who lives. You are tithing to Jesus our High Priest, whose priesthood is after the order of Melchizedek—“according to the power of an endless life” (Hebrews 7:14–17).

That is why when you bring your tithes, you are declaring that Jesus is indeed alive in your life!
Do you know what it means to have Jesus alive in your life? It means that He will come into your negative circumstance and turn it around for your good! It means that there will be tokens, signs and wonders that He is alive in your life. People will look at you and say, “How is it you manage to stay so blessed despite the economic situation?”

Beloved, He will set you apart from the people of the world and provide abundantly for all your needs!

in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

            Thank God Always!

Do you know that the Greek word for “thank” is charis, the same Greek word used for “grace”? So to be full of grace is to be full of thanksgiving. God wants us to give thanks always. Even when things don’t go well with us, we can choose to have a spirit of thanksgiving because He is faithful and able to work all things out for our good (Romans 8:28).

The thing about us is that there can be 10 good things happening to us, yet our human tendency is to focus on the one thing that is negative and fixate on it. We tend to look at what we don’t have, instead of thanking God for what we do have. We need to understand that when we thank God for what we do have, even if it is only “five loaves of bread and two fish,” what we have will be multiplied. Remember what Jesus did before the five loaves and two fish were multiplied to feed more than 5,000 people? He gave thanks to the Father for the little that He had (Matthew 14:17–21, NIV).

My friend, cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving and graciousness, and keep it flowing today. Thank God for the parts of your body that are working fine. Thank God for whatever the amount you have in your bank account. Don’t focus on what you don’t have. Count your blessings every day. Thank Him for His presence and grace that make all the difference. Not only will you have more joy, but you will also experience His blessings and increase!

…“I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

Daniel 3:25

God Is With You In Your Fiery Trial

When Daniel’s friends, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego, were cast into the fiery furnace by Nebuchadnezzar, guess who showed up? Jesus! He was there in the furnace with them to protect and deliver them. Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego came out of the fire totally unharmed—“the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them” (Daniel 3:27)!

My friend, when you go through a fiery trial, the Lord is not somewhere far away, saying, “Yep, from the comfort of My heavenly throne, I can see what you are going through. Even though I’m not with you, I can see you, so just hang in there, okay?” No, He is right there with you in your trial. Not only that, He will protect you and deliver you. The Bible says that “God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

So whatever the fiery trial you are going through today, God is right there with you. He will protect you, comfort you and make a way of escape for you. Put your hand in His hand and let Him bring you out of the “furnace” without even smelling of the smoke of your negative circumstances!

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.

Psalm 1:1–2

            Run With God’s Counsel

In today’s scripture, we see the psalmist describing the habits of a man that cause him to be blessed by the Lord. Notice how the blessed man “walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.”

This means that the blessed man doesn’t depend on the advice of “experts” who are independent of and don’t honor God. Neither does he follow those who plot the downfall of others in order to prosper. And he doesn’t participate in cynical coffee shop talk! The man who does these things then is someone who doesn’t trust the Lord but fallible man and self. And he doesn’t meditate on God’s ways, but the ways of the world.

Beloved, don’t choose this path. Choose instead to trust wholeheartedly in Jesus by meditating day and night on His Word and His ways. And it will be a matter of time before you experience His blessings and success in all that you do!

...“Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

Mark 12:36

            Rest To See Victory

Many of us want our problems solved first before we adopt an attitude of rest. We say things like, “I can only rest when my healing manifests,” or “I’ll relax the day I get that promotion and pay increase.” But God says, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
Sitting is a position of rest. Through Jesus’ finished work you are seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). And you are to remain seated or at rest until you see God put every one of your problems under your feet!

Thoughts may be swirling in your head today—What am I going to do about it? Where is the money going to come from? What if the tumor is malignant? What if I lose my job? But learn to adopt an inward position of rest. When you rest, the Lord goes to work, orchestrating events in the natural and spiritual realms to bring every enemy under your feet.

Beloved, you allow Almighty God to work in you, through you and in your circumstances when you rest. Sometimes, it may seem like He is not doing anything when you rest. Don’t be tempted then to move out of your position of rest. You can’t do more than He can! Stay seated—at rest—knowing that He is working behind the scenes, turning your evil days into good days, preserving you and causing all things to work out for good!

They were completely amazed and said again and again, “Everything he [Jesus] does is wonderful...”

When we step aside to rest and allow the Lord to work on our problems, the results are marvelous. When we cease from our self-efforts and rest in Him, He can bring forth beautiful outcomes for us because everything that He does is wonderful!

The supply of His grace, health, provision, peace and whatever we need is always flowing toward us because of the cross. But when we worry and strive to solve the problem ourselves, we choke that supply.

Beloved, instead of focusing on solving the problem, focus on resting in Christ and His finished work at Calvary. Keep seeing that bodily condition healed—finished at the cross. Keep seeing that debt paid—finished at the cross. The more you rest in Christ and what He has done, the more He can do wonderful things in your life!

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

Proverbs 3:5–6, AMP

Living And Resting In His Grace

Depending on the Lord’s grace and resting in His finished work does not mean doing nothing. Just look at Apostle Paul, who lived by God’s grace. He saw first-hand how a revelation of God’s grace turned him into the effective and hardworking apostle that he was (1 Corinthians 15:10).

How do we rest in the Lord and still find ourselves effectively doing what we need to do? It’s simple—just do what you ought to do, but do it trusting in the Lord’s favor, not in your smarts or careful planning. Whatever you need to do today, do it with an inward rest, without worrying or fretting, knowing that He loves you, is in charge and is for you.

For example, let’s say that you’ve got a job interview coming up. First, commit the matter to the Lord. Ask Him for wisdom and favor. Then, prepare for the interview—read up on the company. On the day of the interview, dress appropriately and go for it, all the while having an inward rest as you trust the Lord for His wisdom and favor. As you do what’s needed, He will guide you and empower you to do what’s really needful and right. He’ll also give you favor with your
interviewers.

Beloved, rest in His grace today and let the Lord lead you to good success!

…the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…

Mark 10:45

            Draw on God

God wants to do wonders and perform miracles in your life. He loves doing good to His people. He loves to use His power to love His people. That’s why He wants you to draw on and “use” His goodness. Faith is nothing more than—and I say this reverently—seeing and using God’s goodness. He loves to be utilized because He “did not come to be served, but to serve.”

Just look at how Jesus ministered to people. When the woman with the issue of blood used His power, it pleased Him. He didn’t want to leave until He got to speak with this woman who had touched Him (Mark 5:25–34). When He was weary and tired at Jacob’s well, a Samaritan woman came to draw water and ended up drawing from Him—at His invitation. He was even strengthened and rejuvenated as He ministered to her and gave her the water of life (John 4:5–34).

Beloved, God’s love waits on you to be used. God wants to be your bread of life. He wants to be your water of life. Bread and water are of no benefit to you if you don’t consume them. So feed on Him. Drink Him up. Depend on Him for everything you need in life. He loves it when you look to Him and allow Him to work wonders in your life!

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
1 Corinthians 11:26

            Take Communion Often

The Holy Communion is a time for us to remember our Lord Jesus and what He has accomplished for us in His sacrifice (1 Corinthians 11:24–25). He bore those stripes so that we can be healed. On the cross, He took not just our sins, but also our sicknesses and pains (Isaiah 53:4–5, YLT). His blood was shed so that we could be forgiven of every sin (Matthew 26:28).

God wants us to remember what Jesus did “often.” His Word says, “For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” Believers in the early church also had the habit of partaking of the Communion together, “breaking bread from house to house” (Acts 2:46).

So take the Communion often. If you have a sickness that is serious or long-term, I encourage you to take the Communion daily. It gives you a chance to proclaim the Lord’s death and remember His finished work every day. In fact, I know of people who are so radical that they take the Communion three times a day. And you know what? They get radical results!

Beloved, don’t give up now. Keep partaking in faith. You are getting stronger and healthier each time you partake!

…God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Acts 10:38

            God’s Nature Is To Heal

Of all the miracles that Jesus performed, 35 of them were recorded for our benefit in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Now, out of these 35 miracles, 26 are miracles of healing, including casting out demons and raising the dead. In other words, the majority of Jesus’ miracles have to do with healing and setting free those oppressed by the devil. Jesus is the Father’s will in action and His compassionate heart would not permit any who came to Him for healing to remain sick and bound in their physical bodies

My friend, can you see that it is God’s nature to heal? He wants you healthy and strong—spirit, soul and body. That’s why His Word says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2). So don’t let the enemy or anyone tell you otherwise.

…[because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord…

2 Corinthians 3:18, AMP

            Behold Jesus And Be Transformed

Up in the branches of the sycamore tree, Zacchaeus had a good look at Jesus. “So this is the One everyone has been talking about,” he said to himself. And right on cue, Jesus looked up and saw the tax collector. “Zacchaeus,” Jesus called out, “make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house” (Luke 19:5).

Jesus extended grace to Zacchaeus, a man considered a cheat and a sinner by the crowd. And Zacchaeus’ response to the Lord’s goodness was, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold” (Luke 19:8). Zacchaeus was transformed from a cheat to a generous man by beholding and spending time with a gracious God!

My friend, when you with all your shortcomings come to Jesus to spend time with Him, you won’t find Him saying, “You lousy sinner!” No, He will call you by name and say, “Come, let’s go over to your place. I want to hang out with you.” And the more you behold Him and spend time with Him, the more you become transformed from glory to glory
.
So come to Jesus and ask Him to show you His grace every day. Talk to Him like you would a friend. When you open your Bible, for example, say, “Lord, speak to me. Let me have this personal encounter with You.” When you behold Him through the Word, there is no way you are not gloriously transformed!

Philippians 4:8

            What’s On Your Mind?

It takes a positive thought to replace a negative one. You cannot eradicate negative thoughts just by using your willpower. God’s Word tells us, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6–7).

If you read on, it also says, “…whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Luke 22:44

Work Without The Curse Of Stress

God gave Adam a job before he fell into sin. Adam was to tend the garden of Eden. So man was meant to work. Work was part of his blessed state. But because of Adam’s sin, the curse came. God told Adam, “Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life…In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread…” (Genesis 3:17–19). Work for man thus became stressful. He had to toil and sweat to eat of the land.

My friend, are you toiling and stressed out at work today? Are you working long hours but not getting the desired results? The good news is that Jesus has redeemed you from the curse of stress. When did that happen? Well, it happened when the Lord was in another garden—the garden of Gethsemane.

The Bible tells us that “being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground” (Luke 22:44). The blood of Jesus touched the ground that was cursed. We know that His blood has a redeeming quality, so He redeemed us from the curse of stress!

Beloved, you have a blood-bought right to a work life that isn’t stressful, but full of God’s favor and blessings. So start confessing God’s favor over yourself and your work. Ask Him for favor with your bosses, colleagues and clients. Ask Him for wisdom to do your work well. Believe and see Him put you at the right place at the right time and cause you to prosper!

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Isaiah 26:3

            Busy Outwardly, Peaceful Inwardly

The world can give you a certain amount of peace. You can go to a spa and get a comforting massage as soft music plays in the background. You can look at a beautiful sunset and sense a measure of peace as the sun dips beyond the horizon, spreading its golden rays on the sea and coloring the darkening sky with various hues of orange.

But alas, the music stops and the sun sets! Peace from these sources is fragile, temporary and dependent on the environment. But Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you…” (John 14:27). The peace that Jesus gives is different—it’s robust, it’s lasting and it doesn’t depend on your environment. You can be busy handling a crisis and still be at peace inwardly!

Beloved, meditate on scriptures on peace throughout the day, scriptures such as John 14:27, or John 16:33—“…in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” As you keep your mind stayed on the grace and faithfulness of our Lord Jesus, negative thoughts cannot remain and lock you in a state of worry and defeat. Keep your mind stayed on Him, and the Prince of Peace Himself will cause you to walk in an inward peace that is independent of your environment and that surpasses all understanding!
