149:3
Let
them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the
timbrel and harp.
A
man once said, "I couldn't enjoy myself in heaven. There's too much
singing and dancing there for my taste. They started up a long time ago, and it
doesn't look like they're anywhere near ready to stop. Ever since Jesus was
born, they've had one big, long celebration."
Indeed,
since the birth of Jesus Christ, there had been great reason to dance. Death
lost all its power, and eternity was opened to all who would choose it. There
is reason to dance and sing. Christ came among us, and He is with us to this
day. He has given us eternal life and has offered us everything we need to live
happy and full lives on earth. Rejoice! Christ has come this day. And He will
never leave us alone.
Prayer:
Come into my heart, dear Lord. I have waited for Your coming, and I am ready to
share my life with You. Be close by me, Lord, and fill me with song and dance
and joy. Amen.
